Sunny, Sweaty practice Saturday
Mood:  a-ok

Well, we squeezed in a practice before our Sunday game vs. the Bulldogs but it's 73 degrees in San Francisco and 9 (one injured)people showed up.

The Bulldogs have some hitters and I should have more of a roster, so I'll have options.  Our outfielder Mike is getting better from his injury and projects he should be ready by mid-March (our break).  It will be great to add him to the lineup once again.

Tomorrow should be another 70 plus day and perfect weather for a little softball.

Close game vs the Falcons
Mood:  a-ok
Now Playing: Falcons vs C-MEN
Topic: Memories

That was a close game against the Falcons. Our pitching and defense was good. Our offense started slow but chipped away at their lead and we gave them a scare at the end.

It was Rick's pitching debut. He was an outfielder for us last season and worked during the off-season on his throwing. I'd say it's paid off. He threw strikes. He would get into trouble (like most softball pitchers) and more importantly got out of it.

Infield defense is continuing to get better, which is fun to watch. After losing Erik in the off-season, I really had to wonder about shortstop but I think Brad and Jesse have it covered. Brad played a good game there Sunday.

Final Score Falcons 11 C-MEN 8

Wet Practice Sunday?
Mood:  vegas lucky
Topic: Growth Charts
Well, as always I am looking forward to practice this Sunday (12/10) but there is a very real possibility that this will be our first rainout of the off-season. It's hard to complain though. The C-MEN have had three rain free practices and when you live in San Francisco, you will eventually get rain. Weather forecasters are projecting a downpour for Friday and Saturday.
